Hosting a website ? what are the options?
I got scared when i thought about building a website because till a week back i had no idea what platform to choose,what content management system to choose and the list goes on.Once you dive in the picture becomes clear.hosting plans are now enabled with fantastico which can easily install CMS you choose (single click installation)
Building a website is very important, but after that is done, you have to figure out where to host it. You will have many choices to make about how you want to host your website.
The reason to start this blog was to find out which web hosting company or plan would suit my needs . I HAD A FEW THINGS ON MY MIND
1.MULTIPLE DOMAIN HOSTING
2.CHEAP HOSTING PLANS (single domain plans)
3.FREE HOSTING
Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.If you choose free hosting, it will be lot messier managing your site and it would look less professional.Nowadays free hosts dont display banners on our sites one of the advantages.
Single domain plans are great if you are planning on sticking to a site rather than managing many sites but come with the same price as multiple domain hosting plans .Buying a plan at a stretch is cheaper than paying month-by-month.The more years you pay for the, the cheaper the rates go.
Multiple domain hosting plans are great,cheap and you can easily manage several websites through a single control panel,but i have heard few of friends complaining about downtime & bandwidth sharing issues.
Finding the best hosting company comes with a lot of research and comparing ,im still in the process so watch this space.
